pundits and ex-professionals generally hang back in condemnation, maybe out of some respect or to appear objective and yes have always seem expectant that Moyes will turn it around.

Not yesterday though, comments like 'never seen a game as one sided as this' are very telling.

What Vexed said, plus...

You are putting words in my mouth, DC. 'Not in his interests' wasn't intended to mean he's not trying - my point is that some of us seem to think he should be knocking himself out so he can sell for more money... when actually, that part of the deal means nothing to him. In fact, if he sells for less, he may find some of that surplus purchase cash finding its way onto his regular payslip? We have the top clubs (most notably United) trying to play down his abilities and value, primarily because they can't afford the numbers being quoted unless they can get us to take several of their deadbeat also rans in the deal.
I am saying, we all know his true abilities, so we must hold our ground, bang an "offers above £120M" badge on him, and call their bluff.
And erm, if you don't understand what I post, why comment on it..?

In percentage terms. Rice playing shit to force a move on the cheap is 100% a conspiracy theory.

He was 100% playing at sub 70% long before the world cup to make sure he didn't get injured. Wouldn't put anything past the bloke in his pursuit of a move to his boyhood club (insert team that is winning at the moment).

Moyes has the pundits because they look at last season table and say ‘they finished 7th last year’.

What no pundit is clever enough to realise is that our form has been 17th since the start of 2022 and it is getting worse.

You honestly think Rice is playing badly so he can leave on the cheap?

So if a new manager comes in he will continue to play crap?

How do pundits on MOTD still say hang on to Moyes after watching us get annihilated by Brighton ?? I just cannot fathom it unless they want the click bait headlines & entertainment keeping this moron in charge....
Any other club would have axed him back in October but it's the poxy Euro campaign keeping him there as I see it. The owners will want him to at least have another go at it as he got us into Europe in the first place.
Delusional.
We won't beat the likes of Fiorentina or Lazio anyways. As soon as that dream ends watch him fly out of the door with 8-10 PL games to go with no plan as usual.
This is all on the ownership as well.

As for Rice & the other misfits it's plain to see we cannot hold on to the ball against decent opposition.
I saw players trying to run with ball & get caught time and time again (Benrahma esp 1st half). Panicked hoofs to no one when 2-3 players were right next to the ball holder (Johnson).
Paqueta ducking out of tackles & Soucek not fast enough to hold down a midfield place.
On the rare occasion we have a chance in front of goal slefish players (Bowen) just cannot square it to Ings who's in a better position - much like Antonio up at Old Trafford in the week.

This team doesn't understand how to play as a team.
Misfits is the word.

The list is endless and we haven't even gotten to the substitutions. Not for the first time this season the manager's decisions are inept. I don't understand what he sees going on at these games & the disarray everywhere.
35M Scamacca on the bench - once again there seems to be a fall out between our manager & a player which is hindering any progress.

We have a massive rebuild this summer as I can't see Paqueta, Scamacca, Rice being there. All the oldies in the team also need replacing.
My word, massive task ahead.
Just sell up Sulli, time to hand over the reins to someone who knows what to do here.

Everyone keeps saying we won't get the big money for Rice if he keeps playing like that, but they misss the point.
Right now, it's not in his interests to play well / be a great captain, because a very high price for him means a limited choice of takers. Remember, what we sell him for means nothing to him - he'll go off and get a stupendous wage packet wherever he ends up, so the high valuation is a hindrance to him, not a help. We have to ignore his little game, stick an "offers over £120M" sticker on him, and then stand back and watch the scrap. ALL the top sides want him, even if they deny it. You only have to look at United - all their flunkies in the media are busy slagging Dec and talking the value down, then we have the nonsense of "West Ham want three of United's cast offs" - of COURSE we fucking don't, they are hoping we are daft enough to swap him for three of their most troublesome, overpriced, overpaid gobshites! Real reason being, unless they unload some of those also-rans in part-ex, they can't bloody afford him ANYWAY.
Declan is cornered at present - he knows the current mess is down to Moyes, and he can't q-u-i-t-e bring himself to just spit it out. But we get the message...
It seems like, whatever has gone on in the background, Sully obviously sees it as some sort of victory for Moyes if he gets paid off, but surely we are past that stand-off stage now?
Frankly, I'd rather go down trying to do something about it, than just continue the slow strangulation that Moyes is inflicting.

That performance was as inept as it gets.

Brighton were sharper, both passing and out of possession, for the entire 90 minutes.

A manager has to take responsibility for his team's results, and that was an abysmal performance. I have no idea why he thought it was in any way relevant to mention the support. You can only support what's happening on the pitch. Not many teams would get cheered on in a 4 goal drubbing, with 34% possession and three shots all game.

Re: ⚽ Brighton v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
I've tried not to react too much but Mike Oxsaw's "That was a challenging watch." says it all.

I've seen some dire WH performances over the years but that beats them all. I've mentioned it before but know that teh reason we have such low possession stats is every panicked clearance goes straight to the opposition. Most of our passes go straight to the opposition!

Yet fucking Brighton out classed us in every respect. More desire. Better passing. Sharper to the ball. Sharper movement and runs. A right old fashioned drubbing!

Why is Moyes still in a job FFS? It's blatantly obvious that Moyes used to be carried by Stuart Pearce Alan Irving and Mark Noble as captain. The money he has wasted and the low level of football for more than a year yet he's still in a job!

Only at West Ham! How the fuck did we ever deserve the shit owners we've had?

Moyes should've gone six games in. But no, "we will wait until the WC"... Problem being, anybody who was anybody was at the WC anyway, and certainly wouldn't be breaking camp to talk to us about the manager's job. So, predictably, it meant we wouldn't look at the situation until AFTER the WC... which meant Moyes would STILL be with us in the New Year, with (by now) inevitable consequences. And here we are...
He relied on Pearce and Irvine (plus Mark Noble in the dressing room) to effectively 'do the job for him'. Once they went, he recruited more yes men / cone shifters, he took the lead himself and (as with everywhere else when he has done that) it all went straight down the pan.
He is acerbic, arrogant, aloof, and full of dumb self promotion. When we beat Forest it's "I'VE beaten Forest so I'll treat MYSELF to some wine tonight." When we lose at Utd, it's "the PLAYERS let themselves down."
Then we have the farce of yesterday where, apparently, it's now all the fucking fault of the FANS..!!? And old Declan is going to crush his own balls trying to balance on that fence... he's desperate to spit out the truth.

What I want to know is (apart from Moyes himself and a few pundits desperate to see us go down) WHO exactly wants this useless bloody man to stay in his job????

I said on here back in September, that the season even that early had a relegation feel about it. Got pelters, obviously, but it was so obvious. When the manager keeps running a narrative that we've been unlucky, most fans by into it, but as I kept pointing out we were actually very lucky to have the points we did have, which weren't many.

I never normally say that a performance is 'one of the worst ever', because like all of us, I've seen some fucking shit. However, I've never seen us be the 3rd highest transfer spenders on the planet, with a team of internationals, be taken apart like that by a team in EIGHTH. And the league is shit this year.

That's the thing, Brighton are a good team, but they are not THAT good. Liverpool have had a diabolical season, they're still above Brighton. And they absolutely wiped the floor with us in the most one sided game I've ever seen.

I didn't say anything after the Forest game, purely because I didn't want to be negative after a win. But we weren't great for an hour of that game, Ings was absolutely isolated, but Forest were so poor that a moment of inspiration from in set us off for a good 20 minute spell. We didn't dominate the whole game like 8th placed Brighton did yesterday.

The situation is staggering. The incompetence of the manager & owner is beyond belief. That yesterday, I'd sack any manager for that even if we were sitting 7th. It was fucking disgraceful, and I'll say that is now the worst West Ham performance I've ever seen, given all the variables.

Haller Anderson vlasic and now scamacca that is about 140m.pound worth of players. That this useless cunt has failed to get any sort of tune out of . Paqueta and cornet will end up joining them if he isn't replaced. As I've said before I've no doubt he's already got his wedge off Kretinsky. And he's leaving it to him to dump Moyes .
